Heartbreaking audio has emerged from the final moments of a private jet that crashed in Florida on Sunday, killing all nine people aboard after the pilots desperately radioed air traffic controllers as the aircraft plunged toward the ground.

The Learjet 60 went down around 12:50 p.m. in Palm Springs, Palm Beach County, leaving behind a massive crater, scattered wreckage and a devastating scene for first responders.

Federal Aviation Administration officials confirmed that the aircraft had departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was traveling to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

But the flight ended in disaster before reaching its destination.

Video captured the jet diving nose-first toward a residential neighborhood before erupting into flames. Thick black smoke billowed into the sky as emergency crews raced toward the crash site.

Now, recordings preserved by LiveATC.net reveal the terrifying conversations between the pilots and air traffic controllers as the aircraft encountered increasingly dangerous conditions.

The exchange began with questions about the weather surrounding the jet.

“What’s the outside air temperature?” an air traffic controller asked.

“Minus 47 degrees Celsius. We’re managing the ice, but it is moderate turbulence,” the pilot responded.

The controller continued monitoring the aircraft as the pilots attempted to navigate the conditions.

“Let me know if you need anything else. I’m just working you into my airspace right now.”

Moments later, the situation became more urgent.

“Now we’re picking up precipitation. We need to climb,” the pilot reported.

“Roger. Climb and maintain,” the controller answered.

But instead of climbing, the aircraft began losing altitude at an alarming rate.

The pilot suddenly issued a distress call, reporting a descent that was rapidly accelerating.

“We’re descending 8,000. Mayday, mayday. We’re descending 10,000 feet per minute. Declaring emergency 722 Bravo Delta. We are in an oversea condition, descending 20,000 feet per minute.”

The controller immediately attempted to assist.

“Let me know what you need.”

Then came the devastating acknowledgment from the cockpit.

“We’re gonna crash into the ground.”

The controller continued trying to maintain communication as the crew struggled to regain control.

“November two Bravo Delta. I’m here with you. Talk to me.”

The pilot reported that the jet was banking sharply while continuing its rapid descent.

“We are descending 22,000 feet, and we are banking 60 degrees.”

The final recorded moments included screaming from the cockpit before the pilot shouted, “Look outside.”

“November two Bravo Delta. How do you hear?” the controller asked.

No further response was included in the released account.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis addressed the deadly crash during a Sunday news conference, describing the destruction left behind.

“Obviously, this was a cataclysmic plane crash. It looked like a missile going down,” DeSantis said. “It left a big crater on the side of the road.”

Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies and fire rescue personnel responded to the scene, where the force of the impact had scattered debris across the surrounding area.

Authorities confirmed there were no survivors.

Although the recordings document icing, turbulence and precipitation, investigators have not determined whether those conditions caused the crash.

Multiple investigations are underway to establish what went wrong aboard the aircraft.

Officials have not released the identities of the nine victims, and DeSantis said it remained unclear whether any passengers or crew members were Florida residents.

The FAA confirmed that all nine people aboard the Learjet died in the Sunday afternoon tragedy.
