The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is backing Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds ahead of November’s General Election.
“Florida’s small business owners are proud to endorse Byron Donalds as Florida’s next Governor,” said Bill Herrle, NFIB Florida Executive Director.
“Our small businesses need leaders who understand the challenges they face and support policies that help Main Street grow and thrive. Byron Donalds has a plan to address several issues facing small business owners, including reducing Florida’s high insurance costs. His commitment to increasing transparency and lowering costs will help strengthen Florida’s economy and small businesses across the state. Byron Donalds is the pro-small business candidate for Governor, and we look forward to working with him in Tallahassee.”
Speaking in Sanford, Donalds said he was “very grateful” for the endorsement and support. He promised to live up to it.
“We’re going to get a lot of stuff done at the state level as Governor, but we want to continue to push Washington, D.C., working with the congressional delegation from Florida, and quite frankly, other delegations. I built a lot of relationships up there to make sure that we do what’s in the best interests of small business owners here in Florida.”
NFIB joins Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida, Associated Industries of Florida, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Florida Farm Bureau FarmPAC and Florida Retail Federation in backing the candidate.
