TALLAHASSEE,Fla.–OnThursday,12morebillsweresenttoFloridaGov.RonDeSantis’desk,potentiallyaddingtothegrowinglistofnewlawsifhesignsthem.
Thesebillscoversubjectslikefarmproducts,capitalfelonies,DNAtesting,andevennewdesignationsforseveralroadwaysacrossthestate—includingoneforPresidentDonaldTrump.
Ifapproved,nearlyallofthesebillsareslatedtotakeeffectonJuly1,alongsideover80otherpiecesoflegislation.Forafulllistofthoselaws,clickhere.

HB211—FarmProducts
HouseBill211amendsthedefinitionof“farmproduct”toincludeplantsandplantproducts,regardlessofwhethertheseplantsandplantproductsareedible.
Inaddition,thebillprohibitslocalgovernmentsfromregulatingafarmfromcollecting,storing,processinganddistributingfarmproductsonagriculturalland.
Ifapproved,thebillissettotakeeffectonJuly1.
