TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The ‘Kill the Drill’ bill made its way Wednesday to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ desk.
Advocates in Franklin County celebrated a legal win Tuesday after a judge blocked a drilling permit, but they say this law would stop all companies from requesting permits in the future.
The news comes a day after people gathered in Apalachicola, calling on Governor Ron DeSantis to “Kill the Drill.”There were 83 other bills delivered to the governor on Wednesday, per a press release from his office. DeSantis has two weeks to either sign or veto the ‘Kill the Drill’ bill.
