The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) just added four Florida candidates to its MAGA Majority program.
The list includes Casey Askar, Mike Beltran, Dan Green and Scott Singer.
The program spotlights the candidates that the NRCC, the political arm of the House Republican Caucus, believes deserve donor support and can help Republicans retain a majority in Congress.
In the case of the four Florida additions, all are recent Republican Primary winners in seats now held by Democratic members of Congress.
“House Republicans are on offense, and the MAGA Majority is the next wave of leaders who will help us expand our majority in 2026,” said NRCC Chair Richard Hudson.
“From veterans and job creators to proven conservative fighters and local leaders, these candidates are stepping up to secure the border, lower costs, and deliver on President Trump’s America First agenda. The NRCC is proud to support them as we go on offense and grow our majority in 2026.”
Askar, a restaurant and real estate investor in Naples, is running in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, a seat where no incumbent chose to run under Florida’s new congressional map. He faces Democrat Pia Dandiya in a race targeted by both the NRCC and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
“A veteran, successful businessman, and job creator, Trump-backed Casey Askar is ready to fight and win for South Florida in Congress,” said NRCC Spokeswoman Maureen O’Toole. “Unlike his radical Democrat opponent Pia Dandiya, Askar will work with President Trump and House Republicans to continue lowering taxes and costs, keeping the border secure and communities safe, and standing up to the socialist left.”
The other candidates are all challenging incumbents forced under the new political boundaries to run in districts where a majority of voters supported President Donald Trump in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Beltran is taking on U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, a Tampa Democrat, in Florida’s 14th Congressional District. The lawyer and former state lawmaker won the GOP nomination despite being outspent.
“Out of touch Democrat Kathy Castor has spent nearly 20 years failing Tampa Bay families,” O’Toole said. “From voting to raise taxes and hike costs to pushing woke policies and undermining our national security, Castor’s top priority has always been her socialist Party. Meanwhile, Trump-endorsed Mike Beltran has a record of lowering taxes, helping businesses thrive, and expanding access to health care. Beltran has what it takes to send Castor packing and deliver for Florida in Washington.”
Green will face U.S. Rep. Darren Soto, a Kissimmee Democrat, in Florida’s 9th Congressional District. The previous Trump appointee just emerged from a broad GOP field and is widely seen as Republicans’ best chance at picking up a seat in the current political climate in Florida.
“While Trump-backed Dan Green was fighting for our country in uniform, weirdo Democrat Darren Soto was serving himself as a taxpayer leech and creeping on young women,” O’Toole said. “In Congress, Soto has peddled the left’s socialist agenda that hikes taxes, undermines safety, and forces Floridians to pay for policies they don’t want, like sex changes for kids. Dan Green will kick Soto to the curb in November and finally give Central Florida families the leadership they deserve.”
Singer will challenge U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a Parkland Democrat, in Florida’s 25th Congressional District. The former Boca Raton Mayor just won his own competitive Primary in the South Florida seat.
“The choice in this race couldn’t be clearer: Former Boca Raton Mayor and Trump-Endorsed Scott Singer has a proven record of reducing taxes, cutting red tape, and bringing more high-paying jobs to South Florida,” O’Toole said. “Meanwhile, Least Effective Florida Democrat Jared Moskowitz has never passed a bill, voted to hike taxes, and refused to condemn socialism – all while lining his pockets trading stocks. Moskowitz has got to go, and Scott Singer will show him the door.”
