The Florida Chamber of Commerce has rolled out its second round of 2026 legislative endorsements, adding 25 candidates to its slate and bringing the organization’s total number of endorsed candidates this cycle to 106.
The new bipartisan list includes three Senate candidates and 22 House candidates selected through the Florida Chamber Political Institute’s candidate interview process, which brought together more than 90 business organizations to interview more than 100 legislative hopefuls over six weeks in four cities.
“To secure Florida’s future, we must continue to elect leaders dedicated to enhancing our global competitiveness, furthering economic opportunity, and protecting what makes Florida, Florida,” said Florida Chamber President and CEO Mark Wilson. “We believe these candidates possess the leadership needed to continue Florida’s economic momentum and execute our blueprint to build a top 10 global economy and deliver the more than 785,000 new jobs needed by 2030.”
The newly endorsed Senate candidates are Jake Johansson in Senate District 8, Chris Nocco in Senate District 21 and Lauren Book in Senate District 30.
The House endorsements include Jon Fay (HD 2), Tricia Berry (HD 6), Chase Brannan (HD 10), Terrance Freeman (HD 12), Xavier J. Monroe (HD 21), Emily Duda Buckley (HD 38), Jorge Figureoa (HD 47), Brian Hawkins (HD 53), Walter Price (HD 55), Melissa Rutland (HD 60), Jacqueline Coffee-Leeks (HD 63), Mike Suarez (HD 64), Luis Viera (HD 67), Ryan Gill (HD 68), Jordan Varnadore (HD 71), Jennifer Peeples Winkler (HD 74), Susan Frantz (HD 78), Liesa Priddy (HD 82), Anthony Bonna (HD 85), Jon Maples (HD 87), Eric “Doc” Stelnicki (HD 100) and Ashley Perez-Biliskov (HD 116).
The latest round builds on the Chamber’s initial endorsement rollout announced last month, in which the organization backed more than 80 candidates, primarily incumbent and former lawmakers.
The Florida Chamber said its endorsements are based on legislative voting records for incumbents and an extensive interview process for non-incumbent candidates to elect lawmakers who support policies the organization says will strengthen Florida’s business climate.
