Gov. DeSantis announces 300 high-paying jobs coming to Wakulla County with state support

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – Three hundred new high-wage jobs are coming to Wakulla County.
Gov. Ron DeSantis announced state funding Monday to help Wakulla County build a 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility off Commerce Drive.
Point Blank Enterprises will lease the facility. The company makes body armor and protective equipment for the military and law enforcement.

The announcement from the governor comes after the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund paid for $3.5 million worth of infrastructure improvements.
“In Florida, we’re showing how its done,” Gov. DeSantis said. “And this initiative that has now led point blank really being able to produce some great jobs is a great example of how that works.”
The state invested more than $8 million in the project.
Construction could begin later this year or early next year.
