TALLAHASSEE – Two months ago, anti-drug lobbyist Amy Ronshausen was feted at the Governor’s Mansion and praised by Gov. Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis as a “Florida Hero” for helping defeat a November ballot initiative to legalize marijuana.
Now, Ronshausen has been suspended from her position at Save Our Society From Drugs, the nonprofit she ran for the last 17 years, after revelations about her role in the controversy surrounding Hope Florida — the state program and associated charity championed by the DeSantises.
