GAINESVILLE — Florida will look to rebound from its worst offensive showing under Todd Golden with leading scorer Walter Clayton Jr. nursing a left ankle sprain but progressing well just two days after the injury.
Clayton landed on the shoe of a Vols defender late in the first half of Saturday’s 64-44 beatdown in Knoxville before heading to the locker room with 10 points and UF trailing 21-19. The 6-foot-3 senior returned in the second half but did not score again and slipped during the final minutes to cause a momentary scare before exiting the game for good.
